ATA Foundation needs your support
A Message from ATA Foundation President Terry Kilpatrick:
The work of the Alabama Trucking Association Foundation signifies our ongoing objective to support and complement the efforts of the Alabama Trucking Association to promote and protect the trucking industry.
Collectively, the Alabama Trucking Association and the ATA Foundation can and will make a difference as we continue to serve the membership in a variety of ways, as well as advancing the trucking industry in the State of Alabama.
The ATA Foundation is the 501(c)3 charitable arm of the Alabama Trucking Association dedicated to advancing highway safety; investing in meaningful research for the Alabama trucking industry; providing scholarships to young adults seeking a trucking-related careers; and creating an effective, ongoing image campaign for the trucking industry.
To accomplish these goals, the ATA Foundation will sponsor as many as six diesel technician scholarships next year and has scheduled a series of one-minute television ads that will air during local evening news broadcasts across Alabama in January 2019.
These ads will appear in larger state television markets, including Birmingham, Mobile and Montgomery, touting the vital role of trucking in our state’s economy, as well as showcasing the industry’s commitment to safety.
Meanwhile, we are also working with several public-school systems to implement the Teens and Trucks and Share the Road programs in high school driver’s education courses.
We plan to do more, but we need your support. As we approach the end of 2018, I hope you or your company will become an ATA Foundation donor.
