AMX Companies has been named a 2026 Top Company for Women to Work in Trucking by the Women In Trucking Association, the company announced recently.
The recognition covers the Ashford, Ala.-based company’s family of brands, including AMX Trucking, AMX Logistics, AMX Expedited, AMX Drayage and AMX Academy. Company officials said women hold key roles across operations, safety, sales, leadership, recruiting, finance, customer service and driver development.
AMX officials said the company has worked to build an inclusive culture through hands-on training, mentorship programs and clear paths for advancement, along with an open-door leadership approach aimed at recognizing employees’ contributions.
Nina Eiland, President and chief people officer of AMX Trucking and JIT-EX, said the industry’s demands have never been a barrier for women.
“Trucking has historically been a male-dominated space, but not because women lack opportunity,” Eiland said. “We don’t just adapt to a demanding industry; we thrive in it.” Eiland, who has worked in trucking for nearly two decades, said she was led early in her career by a female CEO and has since watched women reshape the industry’s possibilities.
Jaymie (Last name withheld by the company), an AMX professional driver who has been with the company about a year and a half, said she has felt respected and supported on the job. “I’m trusted to do my job, and supported when I need it,” she said. “When something goes wrong on the road, I know someone has my back.”
Eiland added that the recognition reflects its broader commitment to expanding opportunities for women as the company continues to grow.
