Alabama Trucking wins Strides For Safety Award

In January, ATA was honored with the prestigious Strides for Safety Award from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, recognizing its efforts to improve highway safety across Alabama.

The March SMMC Fleet Safety Awards Banquet gathered 200 industry professionals to honor exceptional members for their dedication to safety and professionalism.

State business leaders seek historic legal reform in Alabama

The Lawsuit Fairness Act (SB 293, HB 420) proposed reforms to increase transparency and fairness in Alabama's legal system, including rules for litigation finance, consumer protections, and limits on excessive claims. Although it didn’t pass this year, it sets the stage for tort reform efforts in the 2025 Legislative Session.

State property tax caps bill signed into law

The ATA-supported bill capping annual property tax increases to 7% passed both chambers and signed into law by Gov. Kay Ivey, offering much-needed tax relief to homeowners and small businesses.
