Gov. Ivey appoints Daniel Wright to transportation and logistic committee

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey recently selected Wright Transportation President Daniel Wright of Daphne, Ala. to serve on the Transportation, Distribution and Logistics Technical Advisory Committee, a subgroup of the Alabama Committee on Credentialing and Career Pathways.
According to Gov. Ivey, the committee works to identify in-demand career paths for Alabamians with mentoring and guidance to obtaining family-sustaining wages and economic growth.
“I have made honestly and integrity a priority in my administration, and I know that (Daniel) will embody these two virtues while serving the people of Alabama,” said Gov. Ivey.
Wright also serves on the Alabama Trucking Association Board of Directors and is a founding board member of the ATA Foundation.
Based in Mobile, Ala., Wright Transportation, Inc. was founded in 1999 with five trucks and a strong commitment to quality service. Since then, the company has grown to become one of the largest carriers in the Gulf Coast Region with 150 trucks. It offers both truckload and freight brokerage services.
