Heroes of the Highway’s new single “Get Miles” has officially been released on all major platforms in conjunction with 2026 Truck Driver Appreciation Week. The new song, “Get Miles,” is a bit of a stylistic divergence from last year’s “Highway Dreaming,” turning more towards early 2000s post-grunge, fueled up with driving guitars, soaring vocals and splashy drums that dominate for more edge and power.
This rock anthem takes the listener back to the hero featured in “Highway Dreaming,” pushing the story as they transition to a seasoned pro trucker, totally locked in, hitting the road, and finally getting the miles and money they deserve – while loving every minute of it, “mile after mile.”
The same Heroes of the Highway crew is behind it all: Will Stewart and Ford Boswell share songwriting credits, and Birmingham’s Les Nuby of Ol’ Elgante Studios engineers and produces the track. This time there are no featured singers; it’s just the guys, stripped down, at full volume, saluting the men and women who keep the industry’s wheels turning.
It’s a tribute to every American trucker keeping the highway running safely, professionally, and proudly.
