Susan Kirkpatrick – Buddy Moore Trucking, Inc.

The Alabama Trucking TITANS, a distinguished group within the state’s trucking industry, exemplifies unwavering support for the Alabama Trucking Association Foundation through their substantial financial contributions. Among these notable figures is Susan Kirkpatrick, executive vice president and CFO of Buddy Moore Trucking, Inc. in Birmingham, Ala. Recognized for her formidable leadership and extensive experience, Kirkpatrick’s recent induction into the TITANS underscores her commitment to giving back to an industry that has played a pivotal role in her life.

Recognized among “Women Who Shaped the State” by AL.com, Kirkpatrick is renowned for her tough, no-nonsense leadership style, backed by years of diverse experience and hard work. Previously, Kirkpatrick held various high-level management roles at AmSouth Bank for nearly two decades before co-founding Buddy Moore Trucking with her late father and brother in 2000.

Under her guidance, the company has become one of Alabama’s largest and most esteemed flatbed operators. She has served on the Alabama Trucking Association Board of Directors for four years and currently chairs the ATA Comp Fund Board. Kirkpatrick is an alumna of Auburn University, holding a BA in International Business and Spanish, and she earned her MBA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

She understands trucking’s impact on her life and is proud of her trucking heritage. “Trucking provided for my family’s needs and education,” she says. “It has always been a significant part of our lives. I have been involved with the ATA Foundation since its inception in 2018 and recently joined the TITANS to give back to the industry I cherish.”
