Fort Payne-based transportation holding company LRT Group has acquired Chattanooga-based F2F Transport, according to a FreightWaves report.

According to the FreightWaves report, LRT Group focuses on building transportation-based businesses as part of its strategic growth, and the addition of F2F Transport broadens its portfolio of transportation companies.

The deal is expected to open new doors for growth and expanded service offerings, including greater access to dedicated freight opportunities for F2F’s network of owner-operators.

LRT Group owner Devin Dean expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, noting that F2F has developed a strong team, loyal customer base and a solid reputation in the industry, with plans to invest in continued growth going forward.
