The Alabama Trucking Association has made three key additions to its Board of Directors, effective July 1, including Taylor White of AMX, Lee Wicks of Omaha Trucking, and Jennifer Branch of R.E. Garrison Trucking. The trio brings a combined depth of operational, entrepreneurial and financial leadership to the Association’s governing body.

Taylor White: Returns to the Board

Taylor White, of AMX in Ashford, is no stranger to the ATA Board. He stepped away for a couple of years to be with his wife, Molly, as she underwent cancer treatment. Molly passed away in April 2025. This year, White is returning to board service.

Taylor has spent his entire life around the trucking industry. His father, Scott, founded Alabama Motor Express in 1988, and Taylor grew up doing “everything from changing tires, dispatching trucks, and booking loads” at the family company. A graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in business administration, he has nearly 20 years of experience in transportation and now helps lead a truckload dry van carrier that operates roughly 250 tractors and 600 trailers across the lower 48 states.

Outside of work, White serves on the Board of Stewards at First United Methodist Church in Dothan, where he also volunteers as a youth counselor. He and his daughter, Ann Grady, live in Dothan.

Lee Wicks: Second-Generation Trucker

Lee Wicks, founder of Omaha Trucking in Tuscaloosa, is a second-generation trucking executive. His father, Beau, founded Southeast Logistics in the early 1990s, and Lee grew up around the business, working in the shop during high school and rotating through office departments in college. After earning an accounting degree from the University of Alabama, he went to work at Southeast Logistics before moving into the logistics and brokerage side of the industry. He launched Omaha Trucking and added partner Josh King in 2024. The flatbed carrier hauls steel, lumber, coils, poles and general freight, and now runs 75 tractors and 90 trailers across all 48 states.

“I have been surrounded by incredible people working in trucking my whole life,” Wicks says. “It is where I learned to have such an appreciation and respect for the men and women of this industry, especially the drivers. I am excited to have this opportunity to work with the other leaders of the Alabama Trucking Board to bring about better conditions for them and build a stronger trucking industry that serves our state and nation’s economy.”

Wicks is a deacon at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tuscaloosa. He and his wife, Emory, have three daughters.

Jennifer Branch: Financial Leadership

Jennifer Branch serves as Chief Financial Officer of R.E. Garrison Trucking, LLC in Cullman, a company that generates approximately $450 million in annual revenue. Since joining the company in June 2022, Branch has overseen financial strategy, accounting, treasury, IT and continuous improvement initiatives across the enterprise, guiding the company through one of the most prolonged freight recessions in recent history by strengthening liquidity and restoring profitability.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve on the ATA board and contribute a financial perspective to the conversations impacting our industry,” she says. “Trucking companies operate in an incredibly challenging environment, and I believe the financial strength and sustainability of individual carriers ultimately make our entire industry stronger. I hope I can bring a practical perspective around profitability, cost pressures, capital decisions and long-term sustainability that helps support the work ATA is already doing for its members.”

Before joining R.E. Garrison, she was Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller for Cerro Wire, a Marmon Holdings company and Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary, where she led strategic finance for a $500 million manufacturing operation. She holds an Executive MBA from the University of Alabama, a Master of Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Auburn University.

Branch and her family attend First Baptist Church in Cullman. She is a member of Women In Trucking and enjoys reading, antiques, hunting, fishing and cheering on her children’s sports.
