Back the Blue Protection Act

HB202 by Rep. Rex Reynolds, passed through the Alabama House of Representatives last Thursday with a 75-26 vote mostly along party lines. The bill raises the standards for prosecuting law enforcement officers, and increases officer’s protections against civil litigation. Members of the trial community have been working in opposition to the bill.

Dual Enrollment Bill

A bill, HB102 by Rep. Jeana Ross, requiring public schools to allow students to participate in dual enrollment programs where they can take college courses for high school and college credit passes both chambers and goes to the governor for her signature.
