On Monday, Governor Ivey issued Executive Order 724 to state that her administration’s policy is “to encourage COVID-19 vaccinations as safe and effective but to oppose overreaching COVID-19 mandates imposed by the government.”

Additionally, the Governor has called the Alabama Legislature to Montgomery for a Special Legislative Session(to convene Thursday, October 28) to address redistricting and appropriation of COVID-19 funding.
