The Alabama Trucking Association Safety and Maintenance Management Council 2014 Truck Driving Championships (TDC) and the 2014 Step Van Driving Championships (SVDC) are being held June 6, 2014 at the Pelham Civic Complex, Pelham, Alabama.

participate and support this popular event that features the "PROFESSIONAL
Driver Eligibility Requirements
1. Be accident free from June 8, 2013
to June 5, 2014.
2. Be a full-time driver and CDL
licensed (except step van).
3. Be an employee for the past 12
months with his/her company.
4. Be a resident of Alabama, or
operate from an Alabama terminal.
There are two parts to getting your drivers registered for this event. First, you must click here
to let us know how many drivers you will have competing. The entry fee for ATA members is $100 per
entrant and $175 for non-ATA members per entrant. Second
you click here to enter your
driver’s information (the TR1, TR2 form).
These forms are through the American Trucking Associations and you have
to create a username to start entering your driver’s information. Deadline for entry is May 23, 2014.
A company may enter up to THREE drivers in each class of the competition. National
ATA TDC rules and National SVDC rules apply.
Decisions of the judges and the ATA-TDC Committee are final.
Contestants may not receive any form of pay, bonus or remuneration for time
spent in practice. A company may, at its
option, reimburse drivers for expenses incurred in attending the championships.
Competition will be in nine classes: step van, straight truck, 3-, 4-, and
5-axle van tractor-semitrailer, 5-axle tank, 5-axle flatbed, 5-axle van sleeper
berth and twin trailers. Winners will be
eligible to represent Alabama at the National Truck Driving Championships in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in August. Class firms are responsible for the $250
national entry fee.
Once we receive the number of driver’s you have competing then a packet will be
sent to you that will include facts for driver books, dinner reservation ticket
information and other important items.
