Below are just the highlights:

During Friday’s Business meeting Dave Osiecki, Senior Vice President for Policy & Regulatory Affairs at the American Trucking Associations will cover the upcoming Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA) 2010 and a host of other industry issues. Mr. Osiecki is responsible for overseeing National ATA’s policy development on a host of trucking issues, including fuel/energy issues, environmental requirements, labor, safety and security rules, as well as truck size and weight limits. He is also responsible for managing a staff of policy and regulatory experts, and is often called on to represent ATA and the trucking industry at government hearings and industry events.

Dan Baker, an outstanding motivation speaker and friend of trucking will conclude the business meeting. Baker will bring us a fresh, stimulating, and up-to-date message on what is happening in the real world of trucking, but he never departs far from his basic theme that whatever business we are in, “we are in the people business first.” He is entertaining and delivers a very inspiring message for everyone to take home.

Saturday morning, American Trucking Associations Chairman Tommy Hodges will provide valuable insight from a national perspective into the state of the industry and current industry trends and issues. His remarks combine industry experience and Washington know-how for a unique insider perspective.

Later that evening, we will celebrate the leadership of current ATA Chairman of the Board Skip Williams. Skip has been a hands-on leader, representing our Association well and with profound dedication to making the industry better, stronger and safer.

Thanks to the many convention sponsors (For a complete list of them, please click here) -- these businesses are the reason this Association can produce such a worthwhile event.
